About the the studio

 

Chesapeake Fine Art Studio is the perfect venue for artists to develop and refine their skills in the visual arts.  The studio offers 3200 square feet of open working space and hosts classes, workshops, personalized instruction, and open life drawing sessions.  Special events and exhibits are programmed to bring together artists and art lovers and foster growth of the arts community.  CFAS open only for workshops & classes or by appointment only.  If you just Drop in with out calling for an appointment, no one will be here.

Directions to the studio:
We are centrally located just 15 minutes from Annapolis, 45 minutes from Washington DC, 40 minutes from downtown Baltimore, 2 hrs from Philadelphia and 3hrs from New York city.

From the western shore (i.e. Washington D.C.) 
Travel east on Rt. 50 and cross over the Bay Bridge. Take the second exit (Thompson Creek Rd.) and go through the traffic circle. Follow Thompson Creek Rd. approximately 1/2 mile to 609 Thompson Creek and turn left onto a long gravel driveway to the studio.

From the eastern shore (i.e. Ocean City)
Travel west on Rt. 50 and exit at Rt. 8. (This is the last exit before the Bay Bridge, so be careful not to cross it by accident). Turn left onto Rt. 8 and then again to get onto Rt. 50 east. Take the next exit (Thompson Creek Rd.) and go through the traffic circle. Follow Thompson Creek Rd. approximately 1/2 mile to 609 Thompson Creek Rd. and turn left onto a long gravel driveway to the studio.

Hai-Ou Hou

 

Hai-Ou Hou was born in Beijing where she studied painting and ceramics at the prestigious Central Institute of Fine Art and Design. She accepted a teaching post at the Hubei Fine Art Institute where she taught painting and design. After immigrating to the United States, she received her Master of Fine Arts from Towson University. Hai-Ou's work has been widely published and exhibited both nationally and internationally and hangs in many museum, corporate, and private collections. She is the recipient of numerous fine arts honors and awards.

Hai-Ou Hou offers private lessons.  The cost is $300 for 2 hours & $400 for 3 hours (Minimum 2 hours).  To inquire about private instruction call (410) 200-8019.
